Ben Lomond overlooks Loch Lomond and offers spectacular views of the Vale of Leven and the towns surrounding it. Walks in the area include The Drovers Trail, which stretches from Cardross to the River Clyde. From this path there are magnificent views of Loch Lomond with Horse Riding, Fishing and Watersports all within easy reach.

Balloch Castle was originally built in 1238 for the Earls of Lennox. The present building dates from 1808. Situated in Balloch Country park, the park extends for 200 acres and has a guided nature walk, walled garden and extensive views over Loch Lomond. |

Boating is a popular pastime around Loch Lomond. There are regular cruises and visitors can view some of the many islands including Inchmurrin as well as the baronial mansions which lie along the loch shores. |
